I had dinner at Vinyl last night and it was fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was welcoming and set us up for a great night. They even accommodate our large baby stroller. Our waitress, Bree (correct spelling?), was amazing. She was super attentive and friendly, making sure we were well taken care of. There was a tiny mix-up with our order--not even worth mentioning--but how Bree and the team handled it was impressive. They went all out to make it right, giving us a big credit on our bill and tossing in lots of free sides. It was way more than we expected for such a small mistake. The food was excellent. Every dish was spot on, and the scallops were absolutely delicious. You could tell they used top-notch ingredients and put a lot of care into the cooking. Even without the extra goodies, I would've been very happy. The service at Vinyl is some of the best I've seen around here. If you're looking for a great meal and fantastic service, definitely check this place out.

I was visiting a friend from high school while I was in NYC and she recommended Vinyl steakhouse. Everything was perfect! Biz, at the bar made the best cocktails. The food was phenomenal. I will definitely come again the next time I am in town!

This place is amazing! The owner, Kevin, has really poured his heart and soul into it. The atmosphere and food were second-to-none. I brought a party of 10. He greeted us and told us about his vinyl collection. One of the people I brought was also a vinyl collector. He asked him if he had a specific album, and he said, "Of course!" He then went to the exact spot (there must be thousands) and pulled the record. I really couldn't recommend this place highly enough. This is my "go to" when I really want to show people a good time.

I had the distinct pleasure of dining at Vinyl last night. It a narrow, slightly dark hall of delights. The first thing you notice is all the records, and the music playing.then the food starts coming out... 4 beautifully cooked steaks and sides of shoestring fries crispy and delish as was the Mac and cheese and the broccolini. What really made the evening was the service! Everyone from the owners to the bus staff was friendly and helpful, you would expect that but, They were more like a family taking care of their guests. To anyone living in the city, get there, tourists, put it on your list. BEST STEAKHOUSE IN NYC

Celebrating my daughter's new apartment and first day of Spring Break and wanted to find somewhere that she and her friend would enjoy. They love albums and Vinyl looked perfect. It was. We arrived early and enjoyed Zapata Rum old fashions at the bar. Bar service and cocktails are 5/5. Music and ambiance is real solid. Spinning what the guests request. The hosts are the ones that operate the turntables and it is a really cool setup. We split the 28 oz "dry aged" porterhouse. My daughter had the filet. Filet was good. Fries and Mac were too. For $150 the porterhouse was average. The bone butter was eh. Bottle of 21 Honig. This would have been 5/5, if "dry aged" steak was appropriate quality for $150. Next time I will get the standard NY strip for $59 and might bump this up to 5/5. I love legit dry aged prepared well and for us a big splurge, maybe one or two times a year. I think it should blow your mind for $150. This was like a $75 - $85 steak IMO.

*3.5 stars if possible, but rounding up for service!* A vegetarian? At a steakhouse? You betcha! Vinyl Steakhouse has really embraces it's "come as you are" motto by offering a vegan ribeye option-are you kidding me?! I'll get more into this later... The vibes here are super neat and music is played on vinyl only-such a neat touch. Our waitress, Kyra, was PHENOMINAL from start to finish and truly made the evening spectacular. To drink, I had the French 35-it was nice and light. We started with the Warm Ricotta appetizer, which was also just that...nice. It was nothing out of the ordinary, but I loved the cranberry walnut bread addition to the platter. Now for the star of the show: the Vegan Ribeye. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly-the edges lightly charred while keeping the inside juicy. Please never eliminate this item from the menu-it's so nice to enjoy a nice "steak" at a steakhouse rather than being stuck to sides. The Onion Rings were also a hit-whatever sauce it is served with I could bathe in. Now for the things I sadly did not like: -Truffle Mac & Cheese: My most anticipated dish was the most disappointing. It was too watery and had no flavor-more cheese and more salt needed, because this dish has so much potential and a solid mac is necessary. -The desserts (brownie and cheesecake): I was incredibly let down by the desserts. The cheesecake was overly bitter and the brownie was dry, bland and served with a tablespoon-sized portion of ice cream. Would I come back? For that steak, absolutely...but the other items on the menu need a significant improvement (and if this is done, 5 stars from me!)

What a great place!! The vibes were so great with walls covered with shelves upon shelves of records. Vinyls were always playing great music. The food was also very good! We loved everything we got. The crispy sushi and short rib potstickers were great to start! We then got the New York Strip and shared it between the 2 of us. For sides we got the Mac and cheese, green beans, and creamed spinach. Surprisingly, our favorite had to be the green beans which were covered in Parmesan and onions and had a savory sauce on them. My favorite thing of the night tbh. Finally we got the crème brûlée and I CLEANED that plate. Everything was so good!! Very good for a date spot

I've had better steaks, but overall I enjoyed my experience and would recommend checking out, especially since it's so different from other traditional steakhouses (which adds to the charm!) Ambiance / Service: definitely laid back, chill vibes - they play rock music. Definitely not your typical steakhouse, which I enjoyed. However, it's still nice - candles, cloth napkins, etc. You could definitely do a nice date night here. Service was phenomenal. Big shoutout to our male server with glasses! Food: like I said, not the best steak I've had. I thought it was very under seasoned, but I still enjoyed the meal. I ordered: -Vinyl Wedge: this was good. I would order again. They automatically split in 2 which was nice. -Crispy Sushi: comes with 6. I love crispy rice and this hit the spot. -NY Strip 14 oz: good size. Very under seasoned and a little chewy, but it may have been an off night. I got it with the cognac peppercorn sauce and I think I would get a different sauce next time. It was a bit too creamy for me. -Loaded Potato Pave: this was good. I would order again. It's almost like a potato lasagna. -Creamed Spinach Carbonara: good flavor, but I think I should've asked for no egg yolk. Just a personal preference.

My boyfriend and I have a list of places we want to go for date nights and we finally got around to trying Vinyl Steakhouse and it did not disappoint. The ambiance is super retro, the service is on point and the food was delicious. I am a huge vinyl lover and was excited when I learned about this restaurant, as you enter you are hit in the face with vintage artist posters; everyone from Billie Holiday, to Andy Warhol, on the adjacent wall is a ton of vinyl albums which you can make a request for one to be played. When we arrived at the restaurant we were sat immediately and greeted by our server. I cannot say enough about how great the service is at Vinyl! The drinks and food arrived in a timely fashion and at the end of our meal the waitress brought the table complimentary glasses of champagne. The food is out of this world and here is what we had: - Truffle Mac N Cheese (This Mac N Cheese will blow your mind) - Crispy Sushi (the spicy mayo was so good!) - Warmed Ricotta (Omg!! I can't stop thinking about this dish and the grapes) - Hen of The Woods Mushrooms (I am pescatarian and loved everything about my main course! The truffled vegetable were fantastic!) - Salmon (our friend who joined us had the salmon and said that it was cooked to perfection) - Burger (my boyfriend said that the burger was incredible and hit the spot) As far as cocktails go, I am a martini drinker and would highly recommend the 'Vinyl Martini' it was such a unique take on the dirty martini. Although Vinyl is a steakhouse they have a lot to offer any dietary restrictions. I would highly recommend anyone to give Vinyl Restaurant a try and I am looking forward to my next visit in the near future. Thanks for a great night out!
